Fossils

Nath Loft used to work at a dinosaur provincial park in Canada. She shared her fossils with us today. We got to hold and feel them. They are about 72 million years old!!

We were amazed that they were so heavy. The back pieces had sand and stuff go into it and made it heavy and stone.

We saw a dinosaur tooth. Brodie thought it was from a meat eating dinosaur because it looked sharp. Holly remembered it was a crocodile tooth.

Owen is holding a piece of turtle shell from a turtle that was alive at the same time as the dinosaurs.
"Rosalie said "The plant eater tooth was very cute because it was very little. "

Koji said "the shell was smooth and flat." It is called ammonite.

We also played paleontologists and sorted pictures into groups of fossils and dinosaurs.
