We are Paleontologists!!

Today we became paleontologists. We excavated a dinosaur from its egg using special tools.

This is what our eggs looked like before we started.
"We were trying to find dinosaur bones and also we were trying to be a paleontologist." Said Holly.

"We scratched the egg and we found a dinosaur." Said Loren
We took over the outdoor inquiry space. We scratched and dug at our eggs.
Our dinosaur fossils slowly emerged.

As we worked we found feet, tails, scales and heads. We had to be careful not to damage the dinosaur inside.

We loved being paleontologists.

"There was a fossil in the egg too." said Koji.
When our dinosaur was out of the egg, we saw the fossil marks it had left behind.
"It was fun and dusty scraping the egg." Said Rosalie.

We made a wonderful mess and had an amazing time. We will get to bring our dinosaurs and fossils home to share with our families soon.
